Hi all!
Background - a friend of mine maintains a web page with stats for a series of caches here in the UK - about 1000 or so. He runs regular PQs for these, but occasionally misses logs...
Obviously he doesn't realise this, but other cachers will contact him and say he is missing one - usually because their own find count for the series differs...
My idea is to have the other cacher run a macro to filter all their found caches for the series, export gpx and then e-mail it to my friend. First question - is it possible to code into a macro a command to e-mail a file to a pre-set destination? I'm thinking something similar to 'mailto:' in html...
Once my friend has the file, he can import it into GSAK and compare to his existing data. Is there a way to do this? Obviously impirting the file into his relevent database will update the logs, but without telling him which was the problem cache. I think he woulld like to know which cache is missing the log, before updating it from the gpx or online...
Any thoughts from the gurus?!
Cheers
Dave
