I had this same problem and tried Red Roo's macro. It didn't work either. The difference was Pilot Snipe's macro gave me an error telling me there was a problem and Red Roo's did not. I also tried your Nuvi macro Lignumaqua ... same results.
I'm wondering if there might be a more automated way of identifying caches with garbled data?? I can get around in SQL, but don't have near the skills necessary to tackle something like that.
