Very long time GSAK, Garmin GPS Map 60CSx power user.
No prior problems loading Geocaches till today. Have done hundreds of similar waypoint loads.
The PC sounds when USB cord plugged in. System "sees" the Garmin GPS 60CSx device in Control Panel.
Tried both the USB 3.0 and the USB 2.0 plugs. Rebooted system. Plugged unplugged cable. Recycled GPS. Everything seems OK.
PROBLEM:
Getting "Error sending waypoints:
[ERROR] SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces: The device is not ready..."
The rest of the message asking is GPS powered up and connected and questioning whether it is a USB device, etc.
I have attached an HTML file generated by Problem Steps Recorder that shows me taking extra steps to confirm that the proper driver is installed and then the ERROR produced when I attempt to load the waypoints.
For a new unknown reason GSAK doesn't seem able to "see" the GPS when the PC OS can.
This is a Windows 8, Toshiba Satellite, 4 core, 8GB RAM, 750GB HD, registered GSAK ver 8.3.0.1 registered to me.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks Clyde for continuing to develop this powerful Geocaching tool.
