You will have problems, sooner or later. Think of it this way: You can ignore a stop sign 100 times before you encounter a truck coming the other way and have a fatal accident. That does not mean that it is safe (or smart) to ignore stop signs.
Installing GSAK or the GSAK databases in a cloud synchronization folder like DropBox is not supported. There are easy, automated ways to get the same result without risking the integrity of your data (see the threads sbeelis linked to above). We cannot stop you from doing something foolish, but please do not encourage others to do things that are not recommended or supported just because you have been lucky thus far.
