Exempting GSAK does not work in all cases (e.g. sometimes it needs to be exempted or added to a white list in more than one place within the security software, and sometimes certain security software seems to ignore it's own white list).  Zubulus and Don_J: Please try restarting your computers in SAFE Mode (with networking) and run your macros in SAFE Mode (with networking). This will allow us to see what happens with no software other than the OS loaded. If they work in SAFE Mode, it tells us some other software on your PC is getting in the way (usually security software). If they do not work in SAFE mode, it means we have to look deeper. |
Just to cover all of the bases, I will do this later as I'm walking out the door for work at the moment.
For info, I have used GSAK with four different versions of NOD32, currently version 6. Starting with version 4, it just about crippled GSAK as it started scanning like crazy after any change in a db. After excluding all GSAK folders, I have never had an issue.
