No it is actually fetched (one time only) when you click on the trackables button for that log.
So the trackables for that cache should be up to date as at the time you click on that button. If at a later time you edit the log again before publishing, then you would need to click on the refresh button (as per my screenshot in the previous post) to fetch the up to date state of the cache trackable inventory.
