I like it like it is, simply for the consistency between badges. Why would they be counted towards one badge, and not another? Maybe you could include a note in the pop-up description that benchmarks and waymarks are excluded.

I would also like to see, where it shows how many you need for the next level, that it would be counted like the "daily cacher" and "busy cacher" badges. As an example, on my profile, it says I have 6 types, and need 1 to go to the next level. I actually need 7.
