Valid cache types (from Database Variables) are:

A = Project Ape
B = Letterbox
C = Cache In Trash Out
E = Event
G = BenchMark
I = Wherigo
L = Locationless
M = Multi
O = Other
R = Earth
T = Traditional
U = Unknown/Mystery
V = Virtual
W = Webcam
X = Maze Exhibit
Y = Waymark
Z = Mega event

That's 15 to choose from.

If the general consensus from users is that Benchmarks and Waymarks should be included, I don't have a problem adding them, so please voice your opinion either way.

Personally, I think that waymarks and benchmarks should stay excluded the way they are today. This is consistent with the way geocaching.com (not listing them at all) and FindStatGen (only counting them separately as total but not for any other statistic) treat them.

On the other hand, I've extended quite a few of my FSG Plugins to handle the "newer" cache types like HQ, Blockparty, 10 Year event etc. These are listed by geocaching.com and properly handled by FSG as well, so it might make sense to include them in BadgeGen as well (though the question about what number is needed to attain a Diamond badge then arises and increasing that might not be popular :-)

As to Lab Caches being counted, I agree with Clyde and Mike on this topic: Once they are delivered with a complete set of data in their GPX files, we should start treating them "properly", until then I propose to leave them up to the creativity of individuals who found ways to include them in their statistics.

For the record: I have found neither Lab Caches, nor any of the HQ/Block party/10 Year caches. I do have a large number of waymarks found but no benchmarks.
