Using the default of 1 means GSAK behaves exactly the same as before this feature was introduced. So the only time the behaviour is different is when this value is something other than 1.
Logs in GSAK and at Geocaching.com always show starting at the newest and finishing at the oldest. So "1' is the starting log which will always be the newest log.
