Well, if you want the Child waypoints to appear as waypoints on the unit (as I do), and you also prefer the GGZ file format (as I do), this seems to be the only choice right now. Keep in mind that I'm still getting the full benefit of the Garmin macro, I'm just adding the waypoint export to the workflow.

I think chr2k was wondering about the benefit of having the children as waypoints vs. POI's. The nice thing about the macro's POI export is that the children are placed in categories (Parking, Question to Answer, Stages of a Multicache, etc), which may make it easier to find the one you want in a cache dense area. I believe they will show on the map as waypoints or POI, so there's no difference there. It it's just a matter of personal preference, that's fine too. Image may be NSFW.

One question I have for clarification of the benefit of POI vs waypoint . . . is there a limit to the number of POIs or waypoints that you can upload to the Oregon 600 series?
