Although I don't think this would make a difference, it appears that you have user sort set like this:

There may be other things about your filter that are excluding certain caches.
Please cancel your filter, go to Database>Repair/Defrag, then open the filter dialog to create a new filter and set just the cache types (events) and the WHERE statement. Does it work with a clean filter and just those two criteria set?
Also, are you certain that you have event caches with a placed date of today?
