No, they won't appear in that special Proximity menu. AFAIK those points can only be created on the unit itself.

They will appear under POI 'Extras' as 'Att-Proximity'. As I said, I don't know if your unit supports them or not. This is a feature of POIs which Garmin sometimes supports and sometimes not... (As POIs are undocumented by Garmin, this is all guesswork. )

If you check this option then EVERY cache in the export will have the Proximity POI. I would try just exporting a small number of caches to test it.
