I suspect the problem is that GSAK is installed in the root directory (C:\GSAK) on Windows 7 (security features since Windows Vista require that program be installed in the Program Files folder). What I don't understand is why this worked for you in the past on a Win 7 machine. In any event, let's try a clean install in the correct location to see if we can get you going again: 1) Click here to download the last full build of GSAK and save it to your computer. Double click the install program to run it. 2) During the install, you will be prompted for a location to install GSAK. The install program may pick up the location from the last install, so you'll need to pay attention to the screens and make sure that you install GSAK to:
if you need to change the path, enter exactly as shown. 3) After you install the last full version of GSAK, download and install the latest update (here). Updates are cumulative, so you only have to install the last update in that thread. If GSAK now runs correctly, go to File>Restore and select a backup file to restore your data and settings. |
well it happens the my Kaspersky Internet protection marked it bad.
So all We had to do was reset it then it worked. Thanks for all your Help.
