Your understanding is wrong. The Google map from the split screen's view »Full Display« indeed shows a traffic cone at the original location. This icon is populated from GSAK's database and is not a waypoint. The macro »GoogleMap V3« only shows waypoints and will either show the corrected position OR the original position (depending from your settings). The flags shown in my screenshot are actually macro created waypoints before export.
