I too have lost views because I forgot to save them. For me, it's only been a minor frustration, but I have seen that it often comes up in this forum, and as my friends consider me to be the local GSAK expert, (though I'm not an expert), the number one question they ask me is "why isn't the grid arranged the way that I set it the last time I used GSAK"?
A "you have changed your grid layout view, would you like to save it", might help a lot of novice users and save the experts from a "head slap" moment.
