TomTom changed the interface method some time ago and moved away from making the device internals available via a drive letter and instead opted for using an on-board web server.
At this time the support software for adding updates to the device also changed from TomTom Home to myTomtom. Recently there has been an overhaul of the desktop software and its now called myDriveConnect.
Using either myTomTom or myDriveConnect you can transfer over custom POI files so you can still get the ov2 file and bmp to the device via this method. Note that the most recent devices from TomTom (the GO 400 / 500 / 600 / 6000 range) did not have the POI interface added at the time of launch but TomTom indicated that this would be added later......
Assuming your device using myTomTom and it supports custom POI files then the simplest way to get your caches to the device is to use the macro I have previously published (click here). Once its loaded click the 'help' button to get an explanation of what the different options do.
ps could one of the forum admins please move this thread over to the general macro support area
