Just a wild guess. If I recall correctly, GSAK prints using a browser by supplying an HTML file. This sounds very much like there was no default program associated with HTML files and the default windows dialog to pick an application was shown and the OP chose "Notepad" as default application to open HTML files with and now whenever he attempts to print, the generated HTML file is opened in Notepad.
To solve this:

To solve this:
- in GSAK, try to print until you see the "funny file" in notepad
- close notepad and go back to GSAK
- in GSAK use Tools->Folder finder, then "Applicatn Data" and click "Show"
- in the folder that opens, you should see a folder named "temp", open that
- in that folder, you should see on or more files with the extension "html" (unless you have configured Windows Explorer to not show extensions, which I fear is the default setting but really stupid of Microsoft)
- hold your shift key and right click on one of the html files, then choose the item "Open with..." from the context menu and from the submenu choose "Choose default program"
- hopefully, in the list that is shown now, there should be other programs than Notepad (ideally some browser like "Internet Explorer", "Firefox" or "Chrome"). Choose the browser of your choice and make sure you tick the checkbox "Always use this program"
- click OK
