Oregon 600 and child waypoints and ggz format by lignumaqua - 2013-07-02

QUOTE (himilecyclist @ July 02, 2013 12:17 pm)
I'm in the process of transitioning from a Garmin 62S to an Oregon 650t. I have been used to seeing child waypoints under "Waypoints" as the original poster was.

I did discover the presence of some of the waypoints under "Extras". However, the folders appear multiple times (same contents in each folder), quite a few of the child waypoints aren't there at all, and the lists of points inside the folders include many blank lines.

Clyde, I tried your suggestion above to switch back to waypoints. I'm doing this just for my owned and found cache lists - well below 2,000 points.

I cleared the POI folder entirely on the Garmin, then ran the export again. This time, I get all the caches themselves as waypoints (and caches), as well as the "Extras" list still. I DID check the "Only Child Waypoints" for the waypoint export.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Yes, with only 2,000 caches just export as GPX files and don't worry about GGZ.
