So there's a new (small) twist. I'm now using the My FTFs database. That is because it's a smaller sample set, and I don't have enough download credits left for the day to update "My Finds" however everything else is the same.
Something is happening that I didn't notice before, during the update, between the custom GPX download, and the status update, the current database is changing from the one I'm working with, to "_Main_Database" and I suspect that is related. I'm trying to make a video of this, hopefully it works.
