| I bought the Garmin Oregon 600 and after talking to Garmin about some issues, it dawned on me that the possible problem could be as follows. I create a query in Geocaching.com, when I go to save that query and transfer it over to my machine, the files in the query show up as Gsak data files. For some reason, I believe that the 600 isnt liking them and wants Gpx files instead. I want to continue to use GSAK as my file transfer program. The suggested that I downloaded basecamp which I did and it is a step up from Map Source. But even when I try to bring the files in from the query, they are showing as gsak data files. |
If both basecamp and GSAK are putting .db3 sqlite files on your 600 something is definitely wrong with the space-time continuum.
The 600 will use gpx files or the new .ggz compressed files. By any chance the files your concerned about happen to be .ggz files?
