I create a query in Geocaching.com, when I go to save that query and transfer it over to my machine, the files in the query show up as Gsak data files. For some reason, I believe that the 600 isnt liking them and wants Gpx files instead. |
GPX files are files with the file name extension: .gpx
You should force Windows to show you the filename extension since hiding them is obviously not useful. (Here is how).
When you installed GSAK or forced associations within GSAK, files with .gpx extensions were registered in Windows as "GSAK data files". Other software can also use .gpx files (GPSbabel, Google Earth, Mapsource, Basecamp,...) but only one association for any one action (e.g. open) can be registered for default purposes.
So are you saying that you are taking this file from geocaching.com and saving it on your machine and then transferring that file itself to the GPSr. Or are you loading it into GSAK and exporting a gpx file from GSAK which you then put on the GPSr?
Also, did that file name happen to be solely a numeric name? If so see this recent discovery.
