For eTrex 30 and other newer Garmins Waypoint name should only be %code, what you would like to see in the list of caches on your eTrex 30 should be in the field Cache description.
It's confusing I know, HHL has mad a table to show what the the Waypoint name and description are called on different platforms, in this case you can compare your eTrex 30 with the Oregon.
