By editing the "offline.htm" and "SplitScreen.htm" files I was able to suppress the font re-rendering.

By changing the second line "meta" tag to be
CODE
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" >

the problem seemed to go away.

It looks like the offline.htm and splitscreen.htm are specific files for the last cache viewed offline and the currently viewed cache in the grid. Is there a file we can make this change to which will impact generation of the HTM files for all caches as we move through the grid? Perhaps something in one of the SQLite tables?

I only ask because I'm looking for a solution which won't require updating to the latest build of GSAK as I'm comfortable on 8.2.1.201.

If not, I'll just live with it (I've been living with it for weeks and hadn't bothered reporting it because I'm on XP and IE8...I understand that it's challenging to support the older OS/Browser while adding all the eye candy for those on newer OS/Browser).

Thanks in advance,
Forrest (fegan)

The file to update is "cachev2.htm" and you will find it in your GSAK *installation* folder.

It should be OK to update this file directly on XP systems, but if you are on Win 7 or higher I would not advise it (just update to IE10 instead)
