Running slowly - lag to keystrokes by Kai Team - 2013-12-03

Almost all of these cases can be traced back to overzealous security software (virus scanners), and some virus scanners continue to scan even when told not to.

To help track down the source of the problem, please restart your computer in Safe Mode (with networking). Try running GSAK - if the slowdown is gone, we know that some other software on your computer is the cause and we have to figure out what software.

Restart your computer in normal mode. Check that both the GSAK.exe file (found in the Program Files (x86) folder) and the GSAK Application Data folder (which contains the programs configuration files) are exempted from real time or live scanning in Defender. If that doesn't solve the problem, do you have any other security related software (e.g. anti spyware) installed on your PC?

If you still see the slowdown in Safe Mode (with networking), try going to Database>Repair/Defrag in GSAK.
