Yes, unfortunately favorite points are only provided by the Groundspeak api - never in a PQ (and are unlikely to do so in the future)

You can use the Geocaching.com Access -> Refresh Cache Data with the "Light" format (which will update Favorite Points) to get up to 10,000 caches a day.
